Poker, as we know, is a card game played with several players. It is also called a community game as nearly ten players can play the game at the same time. It can be played for amusement, but the most important part of the game is the betting involved. There is something called the big blind and small blind. The person standing to the left of the dealer puts forth the small blind. Similarly, the player towards the right side of the dealer keeps the big blind. These are nothing but small and big bets. The bets are put forward in the form of chips. There are different chips available with each colored chip representing one value. There are values ranging from 10cents to one dollar. Each chip represents the amount of money you have used in betting. So the chips actually mean you are playing your money using them.
The chips with the smallest denominations are the ones that are most needed to play the small blinds. Every player needs to have at least ten percent of his cards as the smaller denominations. Usually the game starts with small bets and then gradually the bets are increased. But during the best part of the game the chips of the higher denomination are used more than the lower denomination chips. Betting will be done with those chips that are larger valued than the small blind value. Dealing is started by the dealer of that game after the bets are placed.
